DETROIT (5/25/2023) -- The University of Detroit Mercy Department of Athletics has always had a rich history of student-athlete academic success, and this past semester was no different as the Titans registered a 3.31 GPA.

The Titans had 15 of their 17 varsity teams post a 3.0 or higher GPA, with the softball team leading the way with a 3.68. On the men's side, men's soccer was the top team recording a 3.38 mark.

Detroit Mercy saw 25 students tally a perfect 4.0 in the semester, while 128 posted at least a 3.5 and 201 had a 3.0.

"Our students put forth a tremendous effort in the classroom," said Director of Athletics Robert C. Vowels, Jr. "This shows not only that great effort, but the hard work of our coaches, administrators and University staff as well as all of the academic resources that are available for students."
