LOUISVILLE (9/30/2023) -- Sophomore
Joshua Otten continued his stellar rookie season with another personal record and a few other rookies followed him with season bests as the University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team wrapped up the Live In Lou Classic on Saturday.
The Titans placed 37th with 914 points in the 8k Blue Race at EP "Tom" Sawyer Park.
Otten posted a time of 25:49 for 65th place as he led the team for the third-straight race.
Freshman
Christopher Russelburg ran a season-best 16:17 for 121st, while graduate senior
Oscar Hernandez went for his season-low of 27:03 for 227th place.
Freshman
Kenyon Popiel lowered his 8k time to 27:14 for 243rd and freshman
Elijah Jorgensen did the same with a 27:43 for 304th.
Detroit Mercy will be back in action in two weeks as the Titans travel to Buffalo, New York, for the Canisius Alumni Classic on Oct. 14.
