DETROIT (1/13/24) – The Detroit Mercy men's and women's fencing teams kick off the 2023-24 season with the annual Titan Invitational held on Sunday, Jan. 14 at Calihan Hall beginning at 9 am.
 
Head Coach Michael Ramlow and the Titans welcome in-state opponents Michigan, Michigan State and cross-town rival Wayne State for a four-team dual event.
 
Schedule:
1st Round: UDM vs MSU and WSU vs U-M
2nd Round: UDM vs U-M and WSU vs MSU
3rd Round: UDM vs WSU and MSU vs U-M
 
Squad Break Down:
The men's team returns seniors Jaylin Brown (foil) and George Swanney (sabre) and welcomes four incoming freshmen in Nathan Mysiorek (sabre), Alex Popp (sabre), Ethan Popp (epee) and Arturo Rangel (epee).
 
The women's team returns senior Adriana Molina-Marroquín (sabre), junior Hannah Benford (sabre) and sophomore Julissa Labra-Avila (epee) while welcoming three newcomers in freshmen Sophia Miller (sabre), Annalise Udell (foil) and Casey Yongseon (epee).
