GREEN BAY, Wisc. (11/2/2024) -- Junior
Joshua Otten cracked the top 10 in school history and earned All-Horizon League accolades as the University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team took seventh at the Horizon League Championship on Saturday.
The Titans tallied 173 points in the 8k race at the Shorewood Cross Country Course on the campus of Green Bay.
Otten clocked a 24:43 for 11th place and Second Team honors, passing his career low buy a few seconds. The time is also good for ninth in school history, trailing only runs by Ben Kendell, Patrick Liederbach and Ken Dubois.
Freshman
Ryan Belanger posted a career-low 25:48 for 29th, a PR by six seconds, while sophomore
Christopher Russelburg placed 31st in 25:55.
Senior
Josiah Burr was 53rd in 26:21 and freshman
Caleb Wynn clocked a PR by 14 seconds at 26:31 for 62nd.
Senior
Kenny Lashaway finished 86th in 27:11 and freshman
Nicholas Yaquinto took 91t in 27:20.
Detroit Mercy will now prepare for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships on Nov. 15, which will be held at Silvercreek Park in Norton, Ohio.
