SAGINAW, Mich. (12/7/2024) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field teams had a few members compete locally at Saginaw Valley's Holiday Open this weekend.
Junior
Raeed Monnan just missed a career-high as he tied for seventh in the high jump, posting a mark of 1.83-meters.
In the heptathlon, graduate senior
Simon Jones was 12th with 4,084 points, while sophomore
Joshua Neary was behind him in 13th at 4,037.
Neary was third in the 1,000m part in 2:55.03 and seventh in the high jump at 5.76m. Jones was sixth in the 1,000m in 3:00.28 and eighth in the 60-meter hurdles in 7.31.
Detroit Mercy will return to action following the holiday break when they travel to nearby Windsor University for the Can-Am Classic on Jan. 10th-11th.
