Zachary Zaborney were all on the podium for jump events as the University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team finished up the Horizon League Indoor Championships on Sunday.
Bartlett tallied a career leap of 2.02 meters in the high jump for third place as well as the fourth-best mark in school history. Bartlett had to make sure he cleared the initial height at the start of the event as he fouled his first two attempts, but once he got it going, he went on to set his PR as well as taking eighth in the triple jump in 12.20m.Ā
Eding led the way in the triple jump, placing fourth in a career-best 13.66m, the seventh-best mark in school history, whileĀ ZaborneyĀ claimed sixth at 13.06m.
Also scoring for the Titans was freshmanĀ
Joshua Neary, who was sixth in the heptathlon with 3,758 points with a win in the 1,000mĀ in 2:56.73. SophomoreĀ
Antonio TalleyĀ finished eighth in the 400m in a time of 49.71 and also joined sophomores
Joshua Otten and
Jaden McKenzie and freshman
Mike Ferguson on the 4x400-meter relay that earned fifth in 3:21.02.Ā
As a team, UDM was sixth with 26 points.Ā
The Titans' indoor season is now over and the outdoor schedule will be posted next week.Ā
