Maddy Camm was all over the field, but an early Pittsburgh run put the Titans in a hole and they were not able to recover as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team fell 17-6 to the Panthers on Monday.

Emily Boissonneault '12, who was part of the very first Detroit Mercy team in 2009 and etched her name in the NCAA record books as she ended her career with 242 goals – tying for 13th in NCAA history – and 157 caused turnovers – tied for seventh in the Division I record book. She also held the school record with 272 points and 193 career ground balls and is still the Titan leader with 52 free-position goals.
Camm tallied a team-high and tied her career-best with three caused turnovers to go with a team-high four draw controls, three ground balls, a goal and an assist. Senior
Cat Kopchia added two goals and sophomore
Alyssa Jarvis recorded a team-high four GB's along with a goal, a caused turnover and a draw control.

Meredith Leavell had five saves and graduate senior
Kiah Nuessgen registered two caused turnovers, a ground ball and draw control. Senior
Sarah Meek finished with two caused turnovers and a GB and sophomore
Angelina Hook had two caused turnovers and two ground balls, both the first of her career.Â
Pittsburgh scored the first three goals of the game when Jarvis struck for her marker off a pass from sophomore
Libby Cuckler with 6:07 left in the first. That is when the Panthers went on an 11-0 run, which ended when Camm won a draw control and set up graduate senior

Kopchia scored her two goals in the third, the second with a women down. In the fourth, Meek forced a takeaway and that led to senior

Julia Fortino for her third of the year with under 10 minutes remaining. With under a minute to go and with the extra attacker, Camm forced a turnover and powered her way to the net for her marker.Â
The Titans (0-3) were outshot 31-19, but tied the Panthers with 16 ground balls and were 13-of-15 on clears. The defense also recorded double-digit caused turnovers for the second-straight game and saw Pitt turn it over 18 times.
UDM will now get ready for its home opener on Wednesday as the red, white and blue host Jesuit-rival Marquette at 1:00 p.m. on campus at Titan Field.Â
