Titans Hit The Road For Hoosier State On Saturday

Senior Lena Kinczel and the Titans will look to end the regular season with a road win.
DETROIT (4/24/2024) -- The Titans will look to head into the postseason on a winning streak as the University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team travels to Indianapolis to face Butler on Saturday.

Game time is set for Noon on Varsity Field and will be broadcast live on FLO Sports. A live stats feed will also be available.

The Titans already know they will be in the four-team MAC Championship next week, but they will be scoreboard-watching to see if they are a three- or four-seed. A Robert Morris loss at Eastern Michigan would have the red, white, and blue as the third seed and facing EMU in the first round, while an Eagles win over the Colonials would have the red, white, and blue as the four and battling top-seeded Central Michigan.

UDM is coming off a big 15-11 playoff-clinching victory over Kent State. Four Titans had at least three goals as senior Cat Kopchia had four goals and an assist, junior Leah Bodnar and sophomore Libby Cuckler recorded three goals and a helper and junior Maddy Camm tallied three markers.

Camm leads the MAC and is 18th in the nation with 2.00 caused turnovers per game. Kopchia is second in the league and 37th in the nation with 49 goals, while junior Meredith Leavell is third in the MAC and 18th in DI with 140 saves.

Butler is 2-13 on the year and 1-5 in the BIG EAST. The Bulldogs have defeated Central Michigan, 13-12, and Xavier, 16-10.
