Aaliyah McQueen's second consecutive double-double was a sweet one as she poured in 21 points with a Titan career-high 17 rebounds against her former team to lead Detroit Mercy to a 67-59 Metro Series win over arch-rival Oakland securing Head Coach

Emaia O'Brien also scored a game-high 23 points on 4-for-9 shooting from long range and 7-for-11 from the free throw line.
McQueen and O'Brien accounted for 44 Detroit Mercy's (11-4, 5-2 HL) 67 points and this was the second game of the season with them each scoring 20 points or more.

After Detroit Mercy trailed the first quarter by a point at 14-13, the Titans turned up the offense and took command in the second quarter, opening on a 10-run to move ahead 23-13. However, Oakland (6-10, 4-3 HL) came right back with an 8-0 spurt to pull within one point, 23-22. UDM closed out the frame on a 8-3 clip to lead by six points at the break, 31-25.
The Titans went on to outscore the Golden Grizzlies 15-10 in the third quarter to take an 11-point lead at 46-35 into the fourth quarter.
Both teams scored over 20 points in the final frame, with Oakland holding a 24-21 advantage. UDM was able to maintain a 10-point advantage, 57-47, off a layup by Starks by mid-way point with 4:58 to go. OU pulled to within five points at 61-56 with 55 seconds left but was forced to foul to try and extend the game. The Titans scored their final 10 points from the free-throw line to seal their second Metro Series win over the last three match ups.
