BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (10/14/2025) -- Junior Mason Sokolowski posted a huge victory as the University of Detroit Mercy men's golf finished up Central Michigan's Motor City Match-Up on Tuesday

Detroit Mercy dropped a 5-1 decision to Chicago State at the par-72, 5,897-yard Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Michigan.

Sokolowski - who also won yesterday - trailed by one after just two holes, but clamped down to win four in a row and six of the next seven before putting it away on the fourth hole for a 6 & 5 score.

Freshman Spencer Shearer took his match to the last hole before falling 2-Up. Junior David Swab fought to a 3 & 1 setback, while junior Gowtham Nalluri lost 3 & 2.

The Titans will have one more event before the fall break as they head to Cincinnati for the Xavier Invitational next week, Oct. 20-21.
