DETROIT (10/20/2025) -- University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer alum Ellyn Riebau '16, '17 (Nedwicki) was honored by the Business School over the weekend with the Rising Star Award.

The College of Business Administration recognizes exemplary leaders who demonstrate professional success, outstanding contributions to society, and embodiment of Jesuit and Mercy values, with Business Leadership Awards. The two categories of awards are Lifetime Achievement and Rising Stars. Lifetime Achievement recipients are inducted into the College's Hall of Honor.

Riebau - a native of Dearborn, Michigan, and starred at Divine Child - played in 42 games as a Titan from 2012-2015 as a defender. She helped the team to three postseason appearances, including a run to the Horizon League title game as a junior when the red, white and blue eliminated rival Oakland in the semifinals.

After graduation, she worked for the Domino's corporation for four years in the accounting and finance departments before becoming a Senior Financial Analyst with StockX.

Riebau joins a list of former student-athletes honored by the business school with the Rising Star Award in the last several years in Nicole Fitch (2024 - Fencing), Sarah Montone (2023 - Golf), Matt Ybarra (2021 - Soccer) and Caitie Goddard (2018 - Basketball).
