NEW ORLEANS (12-21-25) - Graduate student Aaliyah McQueen posted her second double-double of the season, scoring 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds with three assists and four steals as Detroit Mercys' huge second quarter propelled the Titans to a 59-46 win in Consolation Game action at the Tulane Holiday Tournament on Sunday afternoon at the Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.

Junior Makayla Jackson was the other player in double figures with 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting with three boards and two steals. Freshman Naïma Diawara added a career-high nine points, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line while matching a career-best six rebounds in her second consecutive start.

After Detroit Mercy (4-7) fell behind 9-4 to open the game, the Titans flipped the script, going on a 9-4 run of their own, tying the game at 13-13 to end the first quarter.

The second quarter proved to be the difference in the game as UDM outscored Delaware State (3-11) 24-4 overall. McQueen made a layup to open the frame for the first lead of the game at 15-13. UDM kept it rolling with a 14-3 run to move ahead 27-16 by the media timeout. The Titans then put their foot on the gas with an additional 9-0 spurt to lead by 20 points, 37-17, at halftime.

The Titans extended the lead to 24 points, 52-28, outscoring the Hornets 15-11 in the third quarter and never looked back.
