Women's Lacrosse Heads Out West This Weekend

The Titans will look for their first win out west since 2015.
DETROIT (2/13/2025) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse team will travel out west for just the fourth time in school history as the Titans visit Arizona State on Saturday.

Game time is set for 2:00 p.m. at the ASU Lacrosse Stadium. The contest will feature live stats, but will not have a live stream.

Detroit Mercy has made three trips into the Pacific time zone, with all three seeing the red, white and blue in California in 2010, 2012 and 2015, where the Titans faced California, Fresno State, San Diego State, St. Mary's and UC Davis.

UDM began the year at home last week with a setback against SDSU. The reigning MAC Goalie of the Week senior Meredith Leavell tallied 22 saves, while senior Maddy Camm and freshman Tunie Mullen each posted two goals.

Arizona State is 2-0 on the year as the Sun Devils won at Niagara, 15-9, and at Pittsburgh, 14-11.

Following the game, Detroit Mercy will return home to face Canisius next Saturday.

VS. ARIZONA STATE
  • Detroit Mercy and Arizona State have met twice before, with the Sun Devils coming away with a win in both games.
  • Both battles have come in the Great Lakes State as this is the first time the Titans will venture out west.
