UDM Looks To Stay In Playoff Hunt With Wagner In Town On Saturday

Senior Nolan Graalman and the Titans will look to make it two in a row this weekend.
DETROIT (4/11/2025) -- Off its first-ever Northeast Conference victory, the University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team will look to make it two in a row and stay in the mix for the postseason as the Titans meet Wagner on Saturday.

Game time is set for Noon and is part of a UDM doubleheader as the women's team battles Robert Morris at 3:00 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Steven MacDonald '23 on the call.

At halftime, the red, white and blue will present the annual John Conti Letterman of Distinction Award to men's lacrosse alum Greg Marzec '17.

While the Titans stand at just 2-6 overall and 1-3 in the NEC, the red, white, and blue are still alive for a spot in the postseason if they were to win out, and depending on how things shake out, they may not even need help from others.

The Titans downed VMI last week in overtime, 10-9, as they ended the game on a 6-0 run. Redshirt freshman Marcus Thundercloud tallied another hat trick with three goals and an assist for his second-straight NEC Rookie of the Week honor. Senior Ryan Richters made 13 saves, and junior Kyle Grant and freshman Ian Greenwell combined for seven caused turnovers and 11 ground balls from their defensive position.

Wagner is 1-10 on the season and 1-3 in the league, with its lone win a 12-11 contest at home in overtime against LIU.

After the game, the Titans will stay at home and host Mercyhurst next Saturday night.
