DETROIT (6-24-25) – The Detroit Mercy women's basketball team has added seven newcomers in Allison Basye, Nisea Burrell, Kailee Davis, Naïma Diawara, Cameron McMaster, Rayven McQueen, and Brendha Schwartz to complete the 2025-26 roster, announced Head Coach

Allison Basye (5-11) – G/F
Hometown: Chillicothe, Ohio

From the first conversation I had with her, it was evident she exudes what we look for in a recruit, which is someone who loves the game, loves to compete, and lives out championship habits. Allison's size, length, and skill set add versatility to our roster that allows us to play her in multiple positions. She can shoot, attack, rebound, play from a post-up and has done it in the Horizon League. She's a great addition that we're very excited about."

Austin Peay (2024-25):
• Saw action in 23 games, averaging 2.7 ppg, 1.2 rebounds per game, and 1.0 assists per game with six 3-pointers, 24 assists, 16 steals, and two blocks.
• Named Firefly Recovery Athlete
• Posted career-high 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field, 4-for-4 from the free throw line with three assists against North Alabama (1/23).
Columbia State Community College (2021-24):
• Tennessee Community College Athletics Association First-Team Selection
• Averaged 18.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game
• Concluded her career with a 40-point performance against Chattanooga State (3/10), while shooting 70.8% from the floor.

• Helped lead Dawson to a Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) silver medal and CCAA National Championship bronze medal in 2022.

• First-Team All-Saginaw Valley Conference selection, helping lead Grand Blanc to a Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) state title game runner-up finish as a junior. Scored 227 points on the season with multiple double-double games.
Brendha Schwartz (5-11) – G/F

"We're excited to announce the final piece to the puzzle for our 2025-2026 roster with the addition of Brendha. She played for one of the top JUCO programs in the country this past season and showcased a high-level skill set. At 5-11, with great length and athleticism, she can defensively guard one through four positions for us. Offensively, Brendha played primarily as a 2-3, but handles the ball well enough to create and run the point. With her length and skillset, she has a chance to be a great player for us here at Detroit Mercy."

• Saw action in 31 games with 28 starts, averaging 4.5 ppg, 3.5 rebounds per game, with 26 3-pointers, 44 assists, 16 steals, and 12 blocks while shooting 28.7% from the field and 71.1% from the free throw line.

• Matched a career-best 13 points vs Cisco College (2/19).
South Plains College (2023-24):
• Saw action in 30 games with seven starts, averaging 3.7 ppg, 1.9 rebounds per game, with 20 3-pointers, 22 assists, six steals, and two blocks while shooting 33.0% from the field and 94.1% from the free throw line.
