Eva Hill made her first career start in goal, making six saves as Detroit Mercy suffered a 4-0 setback at Michigan on Sunday afternoon at the U-M Soccer Stadium.
Sophomore
Camryn Pepper recorded UDM's (1-1) lone shot on goal in the first half, while freshmen
Emma Henry and
Addison Ayris had a shot each late in the second half.
Both teams played evenly to open the first half until Michigan (2-0) got on the board in the 21st minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Woverines added three goals in the second half in the 50th, 54th, and 70th minute respectively and never looked back.
Detroit Mercy's road swing continues with two games in the Bluegrass State beginning at Louisville on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7:30 pm.
