INDIANAPOLIS (9/23/2025) -- Two races, a school record, and now two awards for rookie Colin Murray as the University of Detroit Mercy harrier was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

Murray earned his second weekly award by breaking the Titan 8k freshman record - and the fifth best time in school history - with a time of 24:44 at Notre Dame's National Catholic Invitational, claiming 13th overall. He received his first accolade after finishing fifth at Oakland a couple of weeks ago. 

Murray and the Titans will be in training the next few weeks before competing in the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic on Oct. 4.
