DETROIT (1-5-26)
– Head Coach Dan Vitale has announced the 2026 softball schedule. Detroit Mercy will play a 13-game home slate at Buysse Ballpark, which includes nine #HLSB games, highlighted by home-opening HL series action against IU Indy (Apr. 3-4), followed by Green Bay (Apr. 10-11) and concluding with defending HL champion Robert Morris (May 1-2).
 
The Titans also host a pair of double-headers against NAIA opponents Northwestern Ohio (Apr. 6) and Rochester Christian (Apr. 16).
 
UDM opens the 2026 campaign with a road swing at four consecutive tournaments beginning in the Windy City at the DePaul Dome Tournament.
 
Tournament Schedule:
DePaul Dome Tournament (Feb. 6-8):
• Opponents: Drake (Feb. 6), DePaul (Feb. 6), Valparaiso (Feb. 7), DePaul (Feb. 7), Western Illinois (Feb. 8).
 
Hilltopper Classic at Western Kentucky (Feb. 20-22):
• Opponents: Western Michigan (Feb. 20), WKU (Feb. 21), Butler (Feb. 21), Western Michigan (Feb. 22).
 
Jeannine McHaney Memorial Classic at Texas Tech (Feb. 27-Mar. 1):
• Opponents: Abilene Christian (Feb. 27), Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (Feb. 27), Texas Tech (Feb. 28), North Texas (Feb. 28), Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (Mar. 1).
 
UNA Tournament at North Alabama (Mar. 6-7):
• Opponents: TBD
 
NKU Tournament at Northern Kentucky (Mar. 13-14):
• Opponents: Northern Illinois (Mar. 13), Northwestern (Mar. 13), Northwester (Mar. 14)
 
After the UNA Tournament, and before the NKU Tournament, the Titans stay down South for a pair of doubleheaders at Alabama A&M (Mar. 10-11).
 
UDM returns to the state of Michigan with a game at Michigan State (Mar. 18) and opens #HLSB play with a series at Youngstown State (Mar. 20-21). During the bye week, the Titans travel down to Bloomington, Ind., for a pair of games against their second Big Ten opponent, Indiana (Mar. 28).
 
After their home DH against RC, the Titans travel up I-75 for a Metro Series showdown at arch-rival Oakland (Apr. 17-18), followed by a trip to Northern Kentucky (Apr. 24-25).
 
The top six teams during the league season qualify for the 2025 Horizon League Championships held May 6-9.
