LAKEWOOD, Ohio (10/5/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team got off to a slow start, but came alive in the second round at Cleveland State's Tom Tontimonia Invitational on Monday.
UDM is in 10th place with a 593 (303-290) at the par-71, 6,811-yard Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio.
Sophomore
Peyton Lawley led the way and is tied for 26th with a 146 (73-73), shooting a 2-over 73 in both rounds. He tallied three birdies and 10 pars in round one, and added another birdie with 14 pars in round two.
Junior
Harshan Juttu is tied for 49th with a 150 (73-77) as he started the day with a 2-over 73, knocking in three birdies and 10 pars in round one and another three birdies in the afternoon.
Senior
David Swab and sophomore
Spencer Shearer are both tied for 52nd with a 151. Swab (74-77) had a 3-over 74 in the morning and totaled four birdies overall, while Shearer (74-77) also had an opening-round 3-over 74, recording two birdies and 11 pars.
Senior
Mason Sokolowski shares 59th after carding a 152 (82-70), but had the Titans' best round with a 1-under 70 in round two, playing a near-flawless round with a birdie and 15 pars.
The final 18 of the event will tee off at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.
