ANN ARBOR, Mich. (2/10/2026) -- Sophomore
Andrew Parker tallied his second career hat trick and freshman
PJ O'Hanlon netted his first two collegiate goals, but a second-half comeback came up just short as the University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team fell, 11-7, at #20 Michigan on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior
Kyle Grant had three caused turnovers and two ground balls. Redshirt junior
Cooper St. Clair made 10 saves, and sophomore
Canton Lanham was 8-of-18 in faceoffs and picked up three GB's.
The Titans (0-2) saw Michigan (3-0) start the game with six-straight goals, but Parker ended that run late in the second, taking a pass from senior
Harold Skinner and burying it in the net.Â
UDM was then down 8-1 in the third when O'Hanlon beat the defense for his first career strike.Â
The Titans then netted four in a row to cut the deficit to 9-6 midway through the fourth. Skinner started the spurt, taking advantage of the man-down by finding the back of the net at the 13:34 mark.
After a save by St. Clair, O'Hanlon was able to register his second. The defense held strong and got the ball back, and that is when Parker unleashed a behind-the-back rocket to make it 9-5 with 8:31 left. Lanham won the next faceoff to get the offense back on the field, and Parker recorded his third marker to pull the squad within three, 9-6, with 7:44 remaining.
The red, white and blue were also down by three again at 10-7 with 3:38 left as Skinner fed redshirt sophomore
Marcus Thundercloud.
Senior
Sean Henige had a caused turnover and a ground ball. Freshman
Tyler Francis-Renner tallied a caused turnover and two ground balls, and sophomore
Malakhi Berry recorded three GB's.
The Titans had the edge in ground balls, 27-24, and forced 17 turnovers.Â
Detroit Mercy will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 14, when it travels to Hampton.
