Titans Announce 2026–2027 SAAC Executive Committee

DETROIT (7/16/2026) -- The University of Detroit Mercy will have some strong leadership from its student-athletes as the Titans have announced their 2026–2027 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Committee.

This group of student-athlete leaders will play a vital role in fostering engagement, advocacy, and community across our athletic department.

"SAAC continues to be a powerful voice for our student-athletes, and I am excited to see this group lead with passion, purpose, and a commitment to making a positive impact," said Director of Student-Athlete Services Betsey Walkowiak.

Senior women's golfer Gabriella Tapp will lead the group as the President. She has been a member of SAAC since she arrived on campus and was a part of Horizon League SAAC. Last year, she represented UDM at the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum.

Men's soccer junior Colin Monroe will serve as Vice President, as he was also part of Horizon League SAAC last season.
