DETROIT (7-20-26) – Head Coach
Nate Kopunek announced the 2026 Detroit Mercy men's soccer schedule, which includes eight home matches at Titan Field for the first time since 2015, highlighted by the home opener against Adrian (Aug. 24), Gold Out Game for Childhood Cancer Awareness against Duquesne (Sept. 5), #HLMSOC opener against Robert Morris (Sept. 9), Homecoming and 1996 Midwest City Conference (MCC) Championship team 30th anniversary reunion vs Purdue Fort Wayne (Sept. 26), and Metro Series Showdown against arch-rival Oakland on Senior Day (Oct. 17).
Detroit Mercy opens the season with two exhibition matches at Bowling Green (Aug. 7) and at home against Northwood (Aug. 14). The Titans then open the regular season at St. Thomas (Aug. 20), followed by the home opener against the Bulldogs.
After that, UDM hits the road for a pair of matches at 2025 Atlantic 10 runner-up Dayton (Aug. 28) and Mercyhurst (Sept. 1) before returning home for the Childhood Cancer Awareness game against the Dukes.
After the league opener against the Colonials, Detroit Mercy hits the road once again with another pair of matches beginning at 2025 defending #HLMSOC regular season and tournament champion Cleveland State (Sept. 12), followed by Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) foe Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish received an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, defeating Michigan in the first round before falling to Akron.
UDM concludes the month of September at home with the Homecoming and 1996 MCC championship team reunion match against the Mastodons, followed by a showdown against in-state powerhouse Western Michigan (Sept. 29). The Broncos won the 2025 Missouri Valley championship and defeated Clemson in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to No. 16 Furman in the second round.
Detroit Mercy opens the month of October on the road at Green Bay (Oct. 3) and new HL member Northern Illinois (Oct. 7). The Titans continue league play at Titan Field against Wright State (Oct. 10), followed by Senior Day against the Golden Grizzlies.
UDM travels to Northern Kentucky (Oct. 24) and returns to Titan Field for the home finale against Milwaukee (Oct. 30). The Titans then close out the regular season at IU Indy (Nov. 4).
