2013-14: Finished the year 15-14 overall in singles and 20-9 in doubles play... In the fall, went 6-7 in singles and 6-5 in doubles... In the dual-match season, led the team with a 14-4 doubles record and had a 9-7 mark in singles... Was 6-1 in HL doubles with a 5-1 mark at No. 2 and also won at No. 1 vs. Green Bay... Mostly paired with Irina Slizovskaya in doubles... Won 8 of last 11 doubles matches with two of those matches unfinished... That stretch included an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles against UIC (4/25) in HL first round ending UIC's run of 17-straight HL Women's Tennis Championships... Lone HL doubles loss came at Wright State (4/5)... Posted 5-2 record at No. 4 singles playing every position but No. 1... Was also 2-1 at No. 3, 1-1 at both No. 5 and No. 6 and played two matches at No. 2 singles... In HL singles, was 2-1 at No. 4, 1-1 at No. 5, and 1-0 at No. 3 and No. 6... Had three straight HL singles wins winning at No. 4 over CSU (3/29), winning at No. 5 over YSU (3/30), and also at No. 4 vs. Wright State (4/5)...  Finished her Titan career with 48 overall singles victories including a 19-11 overall mark in league play... Also had 54 overall wins in doubles including a 14-9 HL career mark.

2012-13: Finished the year with a 13-14 overall record and a 4-3 mark in HL play… Had five wins come at third singles and had a 2-1 record at second singles and a 2-0 record at fourth singles… She was 5-6 in fall play and 8-8 in the dual-match season… Earned back-to-back wins at third and fourth singles, respectively, against Oakland and Dayton… Earned a win at third singles against Butler and opened Detroit’s HL schedule with a 6-1, 6-4 win at Youngstown State… Finished the year with a win at second singles at Valpo in three sets and a victory at third singles against Green Bay… She was 14-8 overall in doubles play with a 7-4 record in both the fall and spring schedules… She teamed-up with Elena Strakhova to win three-straight doubles matches at first doubles against Oakland, Dayton and Wayne State… Ended the regular season with a pair of doubles wins in the first slot against Cleveland State and Wright State and wrapped-up the regular season with a win at second doubles over IUPUI... Named Most Improved by the coaches.

2011-12: Finished with 10 overall wins in singles... Went 2-6 in singles matches in the Horizon League... Played all singles in dual-match play at the No. 5 position... In doubles play, earned four wins in dual-matches playing with three different teammates for each of the wins... Paired with teammate Alyssa Korson for an 8-5 doubles win over Valparaiso (4/6)... Fernandes captured back-to-back singles wins over IPFW (2/24) and Chicago State (2/25)... Won 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 5 singles in Horizon League Tournament First Round 4-3 win against Milwaukee (4/27)... Named to UDM Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

2010-11: Earned first singles victory in 6-2, 6-3 defeat over Maureen Stevens of Dayton (2/18)... First Horizon League win in singles came in straight sets over Valparaiso (3/26)... Paired with senior Erin Weldon at No. 3 doubles to win four of first six matches in the Horizon League... Finished the year with a team-best 5-3 in league doubles with Weldon... Captured victories in two of three singles matches in the Horizon League Tournament. Won at No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-3 in the first round over Wright State and won a tiebreaker match over Butler to win the match with 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 set scores... Named the team's Hardest Worker as recognized by the coaches.

Prior to Detroit: Played varsity soccer, volleyball and flag football in high school... In tennis, she ranked in the top 25 at U-16 and the top 45 at the U-18 in the Ontario Provincial rankings.

Personal: Daughter of Lucinda and Geoffrey Fernandes... Has an older brother, Geoffrey... Enjoys playing the piano in her spare time... A biology major.
