Posted back-to-back singles wins with 6-3, 7-6 (2) win vs. Duquesne (2/22) and 6-1, 6-1 win vs. Grand Canyon (2/23)... 2012-13: Earned nine singles wins in the fall and added 10 more in the spring for 19 wins with four coming in conference play... Was 6-3 in doubles in the fall and 8-5 in the dual-match season with a 3-2 mark in the Horizon League... Played all singles play at the sixth spot and was number one in all her double matches... Opened the dual-match season with a win against Xavier... Won three-straight matches against Oakland, Dayton and Wayne State... Earned a win against Butler in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1... Opened HL play with a win against Youngstown State and then over Wright State... After a win at IUPUI, posted a match-clinching
win against UIC to snap its streak of 146-straight conference wins... She earned a win against Green Bay... In doubles play, opened the dual-match season with a win at Xavier... Won three-straight with wins against Oakland, Dayton and Wayne State... Earned a win on the road against non-conference opponent IUPUI... Finished the dual-match season with three-straight conference wins at Valparaiso and then against Green Bay and Milwaukee to give UDM an unblemished record at home... Horizon League Spring Academic All-League team.2011-12: Finished third on the team with 14 overall wins... Posted four HL singles victories with all of the wins coming in the No. 3 position... Paired with Amanda Cornwell at No. 1 doubles to post a 5-3 conference record... Won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament with a 4-3 win against Milwaukee (Apr. 27)... Recognized with the team's Spirit Award as handed out by the coaching staff... Named to UDM Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
2010-11: Recorded first dual season win with 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles over Dayton (2/18)... Also captured a victory at No. 2 singles with 6-3, 6-2 win over Green Bay (4/8)... First career doubles win came against Eastern Michigan (1/29) as Strakhova and fellow freshman Raina Halabi paired up for 8-3 win. The duo went on to win three straight with the next two over IPFW (1/30) and Western Michigan (2/4)... Helped Detroit secure the fifth seed in the Horizon League Tournament with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles over Youngstown State (4/17) in the last match of the regular season... Totaled a team-high five conference wins compared to just three losses in singles playing at No. 3 for all but one match. In that other contest, she played in the No. 2 spot taking a 6-3, 6-2 win over Green Bay (4/8)... Earned the team's Most Improved award as recognized by the coaches... Named to the 2010 UDM Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Prior to Detroit: Competed on the junior tennis circuit for a number of years, winning five titles in 2009... Member of the basketball, skiing and volleyball teams in high school.
