2012-13: Finished the year with a 7-12 record in singles and a 13-4 record in doubles play… Was 4-7 in singles play in the fall and was 5-2 in doubles action… She has a 3-5 record in singles play with a 1-2 record in the Horizon League, all coming at fifth singles… She was 8-2 at third doubles in the dual match season with a 4-1 mark in HL play… Earned her first singles in of the year against Oakland and added a shutout win against IUPUI and a win against conference opponent Valpo… After falling to Michigan State in the first dual match she worked with Irina Slizovskaya for four-straight wins against Eastern Michigan, Oakland, Butler and Youngstown State… Worked with Chloe Karoub to finish the year on a four-match winning streak… Won her match against IUPUI, 8-0… Helped Detroit break UIC’s streak of 146 matches without a conference loss with a win at third singles… Earned a win versus Green Bay and Milwaukee to keep the Titans perfect at home… She was named the Most Valuable Doubles Tandem with Chloe Karoub by the coaches… A member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll... An ITA All-Scholar-Athlete... Helped
create recycling program on UDM campus.
2011-12: Teamed with Chloe Karoub combined at No. 2 doubles for a team-best 6-2 record in Horizon League dual-match play... Overall captured victories in eight of last 14 doubles matches... Spent most of her season at the No. 1 singles position that included a stretch of three wins over Wright State, Valparaiso, and Green Bay in four conference matches... Totaled four wins at No. 1 singles... Named an ITA Scholar Athlete for having a cumulative GPA above 3.5... Named to UDM Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Named to 2012 Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2010-11: First career doubles win came against Eastern Michigan (Jan. 29) as she paired up with fellow freshman Elena Strakhova for 8-3 win. The duo went on to win three straight with the next two over IPFW and Western Michigan... Won at No. 4 singles in a tiebreaking set with scores of 3-6, 6-1, 10-1 in a 7-0 team win over Valparaiso (Mar. 26)... Helped Detroit secure the fifth seed in the playoffs in the last match of the dual season with a 6-4, 6-2 win at Youngstown State (Apr. 17) at No. 5 singles... Secured a Titan victory in the third-place match in the Horizon League Tournament taking the fourth point of the affair at No. 5 singles with 7-5, 6-1 defeat... Named to the 2010 UDM Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Prior to Detroit: Attended the well known Niagara Academy of Tennis, a private international tennis academy…Played juniors on the Ontario Tennis Association, winning several U-18 and U-16 three star events.
Personal: Daughter of Haissam and Charlie Halabi... Has two older brothers, Adham and Ramsey... Lists her biggest thrill in sports as challenging herself, since she admires how other athletes push themselves, which motivates her to do the same... A biology major.
