2009: The Kevin Donner Team MVP award winner...Top Titan finisher in all but one race…Opened season with 5k PR of 19:31 finishing 10th at the Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invite…Lowered PR to 19:14 the next week at National Catholics and then ran 19:15 at Louisville…6k PR of 23:16 at Bowling Green…24th place finish at Horizon Leagues and 132nd at the NCAA Regional...A UDM AD's and HL's Fall Academic Honor Roll recipient.

2008: Season best of 21:12 at Golden Grizzly Open...A member of the Athletic Director's and Horizon League Honor Roll.

2007: Received the Student-Athlete honor...Top Titan finisher on two occasions...First time at Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invite running a 20:37 for 16th place...Then at Louisville, ran a season best 20:33 for 21st place...53rd place at Horizon League championship...Finished 204th at NCAA Regional running a 25:55 for 6k. 

Prior to Detroit: Transfered from the University Warminsko-Mazurski of Olsztynie in Poland. 

High School: Finished eighth in the 5000 meters (18:10.5) at the 2005 Polish Junior Championships. 

Personal: Full name is Beata Gorzynska...Daughter of Jerzy and Jolanta Gorzyncy... Majoring in education with a 3.343 GPA.
