Named the Robert Calihan Most Valuable Player at the Annual team banquet as well as the Frank R. Gerbig Sr. Sportsmanship Award…Averaged 11.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, fourth on the team in both categories, while shooting over 45 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free throw line…He was the only Titan to start all 34 games on the year…In his career, he averaged11.4 ppg., playing in 64 games with 63 starts scoring in double figures 39 times, including 22 as a senior…Ended the regular season scoring 15 points in three straight games against Eastern Michigan, Cleveland State and Youngstown State…Also had 15-point efforts on the year against Chicago State and Green Bay… Posted his second career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, matching his career high in boards, along with a personal-best three blocks at UIC…Collected 12 points with four rebounds at Butler…Rebounded from a zero-point game against Wright State to score 14 points with three boards vs. Loyola…Netted 17 points and six rebounds against Valparaiso…Notched 10 points and a team-best seven caroms at Michigan…Opened the HL campaign with a game-high 19 points, combined with six boards against Youngstown State and 18 points and six boards versus Cleveland State…Had 17 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field, at DePaul… Scored a game-high 19 points, while pulling down five rebounds and collecting four steals against Robert Morris…Took part in Michigan’s Slam Dunk Championship and 3-Point Shootout at the Palace of Auburn Hills taking fourth in the slam dunk competition.

The Titans’ leading scorer last season after tallying 11.6 points per game, 14th in the conference, to go with 4.5 rebounds per contest…Earned the John R. Kirwin Leading scorer award as well as the Norm Swanson Top Newcomer honor at the end of the season…Shot 44 percent from the field (141-of-314) and 51 percent (124-of-244) from inside the three-point arc…Scored in double figures on 16 occasions with three 20+ point contests, while corralling five or more rebounds in 10 games…Posted 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-8 from three, and seven rebounds in his Titan debut at #10/11 Purdue… Topped his rebounding total by grabbing eight boards at Western Michigan, while handing out three assists and coming away with three steals…Notched his second double scoring outing of the season with 12 points, while adding five boards, versus Eastern Michigan…Tallied 18 points, including 13-straight in a 19-6 Titan second-half run, helping UDM end a 19-game road losing steak with a victory over Central Michigan…Had 19 points against Youngstown State…Recorded his first career double-double with 17 points and a career-high 10 rebounds against Wright State…Set new career highs in points (24), field goals (9), field goal attempts (15) and steals (5) at Chicago State, while adding nine rebounds and three assists…Matched his personal offensive output with 24 markers on 9-of-15 shooting at Youngstown State…Netted a team-high 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds at UIC…Had 12 points, five rebounds and two steals at Cleveland State in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament.
COLLEGE
He helped lead Mott to its second straight Division II National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national championship in 2008… Played for legendary coach Steve Schmidt… Kennedy averaged 14.5 points per game, on 51 percent shooting, to go with a team-high 7.7 rebounds a game as a sophomore... The athletic forward also tallied 2.1 assists and 2.0 steals per contest and was named NJCAA Division II Second-Team All-American… In his two years at Mott, the Bears owned an unprecedented 70-5 record, including a 33-game winning streak to close out the 2007-08 campaign… Mott teammate Jeremie Simmons, a fellow J.C. All-American, signed with Ohio State…
PERSONAL
Prior to joining the college ranks, Kennedy played at Southeastern High School in Detroit alongside current Titan Eulis Stephens…As a senior, he was named an honorable mention All-PSL by the Detroit News as well as one of the Top 100 players in the state of Michigan by the Detroit Free Press… Chose to come to UDM so he could play in front of his family… Majoring in Liberal Studies.
