2012-13:
Played his way to Horizon League All-Tournament honors in his final season… Started all nine events and 25 rounds of golf and was second on the team with a 75.2 average… His 75.2 was good enough to tie for 20th in school history and now holds two of the top 20 marks in a season by a Titan… Had four top-20 efforts and a pair of top-10 finishes… 21 of his 25 rounds were in the 70’s… Tied for the team lead by tying for fifth at the Horizon League Championship with a 223 (78-74-71), with a 1-under 71 in his final round as a Titan… Carded a season-low 218 (76-70-72) for eighth at the Detroit Titans Invitational, where he also shot a season-best 2-under 70 in the second round… Totaled a 221 (73-76-72) to share 26th place at the NYX Hoosier Invitational, a performance that would earn him Horizon League Player of the Week… Tallied a 149 (74-75) for a share of 12th at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate… Topped Detroit at the Colleton River Collegiate with a 235 (84-74-77) for 12th… Shot a 224 (76-72-76), tying for 26th at the Bearcat Invitational… Posted a 226 (80-71-75) sharing 28th at D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, while tallying a 227 (82-72-73) for 22nd at the Cleveland State Invitational… On the Titan Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)… A four-year member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and was also named to the Horizon League Fall and Spring Academic Honor Roll and to the HL Spring All-Academic Team… Finished his career playing 103 rounds of golf and posting a 75.3 career average, good for sixth in Titan history, and had 18 top-20 finishes and nine top-10 efforts.
2011-12:
Earned All-Horizon League honors as he was second on the team – by just one stroke - with a 74.3 average…24 of his 25 rounds were in the 70’s, with 16 rounds at 75 or better and two rounds in the 60’s…Posted five top-20 efforts and three top-10 finishes…The team leader in five events…Tallied a two-under 69 in the final round of the NYX Hoosier Invitational, en route to a career-best 214 (72, 73, 69) for 10th…Earned eighth at the Detroit Titans Invitational firing a 216 (74, 71, 71), including back-to-back one-under 71’s to end the tournament…Took 21st at the Horizon League Championship with a 233 (79,79, 75)…Started the fall with a 215 (68, 73, 74) tying for 16th at Michigan’s Wolverine Intercollegiate…He led the team in that event, which included his 18-hole best three-under 68 in round one…Topped UDM with a 10th-place effort at Illinois State’s D.A. Weibring, recording a 220 (72, 72, 76)…Shot a one-under 71 in the second round of Bowling Green’s John Piper, leading the team and finishing tied for 13th with a 223 (75, 71, 77)… A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)…Named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA)...A member of UDM’s Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Horizon League’s Fall & Spring Academic Honor Roll... Also selected Academic All-Horizon League.
2010-11:
One of three Titans to play in all 11 events and 26 rounds of golf…Fourth on the team with a 76.3 average…Honored with the Coach’s Award at the end of the year…Claimed fifth at the Titans Invitational after shooting a 225 (76, 78, 71)…In the top 20 at the Horizon League Championship tying for 19th with a 237 (78, 73, 86)…His 73 was tied for the third-best 18-hole score in the event…Carded a season-low 220 (71, 72, 77) at the adidas Hoosier Invitational…The top Titan in the clubhouse at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, ending with a 236 (82, 77, 77), tying him for 47th place…Shot a 231 (76, 77, 78) for a share of 33rd at the John Dallio Memorial…His best three-round total of the fall was a 221 (80, 69, 72), which placed him in a tie for 32nd at the Georgetown Intercollegiate…In that event, he carded his best 18-hole total of the season with a 69 in the second round…Helped UDM defeat Oakland with a birdie on the 18th hole ending the dual with a 71…Academic wise, he was on the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll as well as the Horizon League’s Fall Academic Honor Roll…A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
2009-10:
Was in the starting lineup right from the beginning of his freshman campaign… Posted three top-20 finishes during the year as he came home with a share of 15th place at DePaul’s Dallio Memorial, third at UDM’s own Titan Invitational and 10th at the Horizon League Championship… Helped Detroit to the HL team title as he shot a season-low 69 in the final round of the tournament… Finished the year fourth among the Titans with a 75.3 stroke average.
Personal:
Posted some solid finishes during the summer months, including his third straight win at the Kingston District Championship... Also took 50th place at the 70th annual Monroe Invitational in New York while qualifying for the Ontario Amateur and Ontario Match Play Championships as well… Also won the individual championship at the St. Lawrence Team Matches in Potsdam, NY… Arrived at UDM with impressive credentials… Finished third at the 2009 Ontario Better Ball Championship, a two-man team event, and 34th at the Ontario Men’s Amateur… Also qualified for the Canadian Am… Signed with Detroit in November of 2008, following some stellar play during his final year of junior golf… Placed 17th at the Ontario Junior Classic, 20th at the RCGA Ontario Future Links Championship, 59th at the Ontario Men’s Amateur and 19th at the Ontario Junior Am… Culminated his summer with a 44th-place finish at the Canadian Junior… Also won the 2008 Kingston District Men’s Amateur and his third straight Kingston Junior title… Ended the summer ranked 28th among Ontario junior golfers by the GAO… Later took 14th place at the provincial high school championships, joining current UDM teammate Kyle Benford in helping Holy Cross to a third-place team finish… A business major.
