ABOUT WRIGHT STATE
While Wright State has split its last four games, the Raiders have rebounded from an awful 0-6 start to win 15 of their last 19. Three of their four losses during the streak have been to nationally-ranked teams in Butler, twice, and Wake Forest. WSU currently stands in a three-way tie for third in the Horizon League with a 9-5 mark, and is 15-10 overall on the year.
The Raiders are led by junior guard Todd Brown, who tops the team in scoring (10.4), and is second in rebounding (5.2) and third in assists (1.4). Junior forward Cory Cooperwood leads the team in rebounding with 5.4 per night to go with 9.7 ppg., while junior guard John David Gardner, who has missed the last two games with a hip injury, is averaging 8.7 ppg.
WSU announced in late January that All-Horizon League guard Vaughn Duggins would miss the rest of the season and redshirt following surgery on his ring finger on his right hand.
Wright State's defense is ranked as one of the top defensive units in the conference as well as the country holding opponents to just 55.6 points per contest.
Brad Brownell is in his seventh year as a Division I head coach and his third at WSU. He is 141-70 overall and 58-30 at Wright State.
DETROIT VS. WRIGHT STATE
Detroit owns the overall series, 18-16, but Wright State has won six in a row and seven of the last eight meetings. The Titans are 6-11 all-time against the Raiders in Dayton, and have not defeated WSU on the road since a 74-60 victory on Feb. 11, 2004.
HARRINGTON NETS CAREER BEST
Senior
Michael Harrington came off the bench to put in a career-high 13 points at UIC his last time out. After not scoring in two straight games against Youngstown State and Butler, Harrington is averaging 11.5 ppg and 4.0 rpg over his last two games.
