The Detroit Titans women's lacrosse team (4-7) wrapped up its home season Tuesday afternoon with a 21-4 loss to #15 Ohio State (11-4).

Prior to the start of the contest, seniors Megan Canty (Royal Oak, MI/Kimball) and Liz Hardy (Clarkston, MI/Clarkston) were honored for everything that they contributed to the program in its inaugural season.

Freshman Corina Mahorn (Whitby, ON/Anderson CVI) scored Detroit's lone goal of the opening half, which happened at the 14-minute mark off a free position shot, but OSU ended up going into the break with a 16-1 lead. UDM freshman Emily Boissonneault (Brooklin, ON/Donald A. Wilson) found the back of the net three times during the second stanza, two of which were unassisted and one was off a free position shot.

OSU sophomore Jayme Beard netted a game-high four goals, while senior Rachel Hawes added three for the Buckeyes.

Freshman Brett Yenger (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) logged 60 minutes in net for the Titans and tallied 12 saves, while senior Kristen Gilwee collected three saves and allowed one goal in 26:32 of play in net to earn the win for OSU.

The Titans will close out their regular season at Cincinnati on April 27 at 7 p.m.
