The Detroit Titans welcomed back one of their own in former All-Horizon League performer
Eli Warren, who will serve as an Athletic Academic Graduate Assistant for the 2010-11 season. Warren's position was recently added by the University in an effort to bolster UDM's ongoing academic support programs for Titan student-athletes.

Amy Paling, Assistant Director of Compliance & Academic Coordinator. “Eli understands the work ethic it takes to be a student-athlete and he will be a great asset to both basketball teams.”
In his new role, Warren will provide academic study table assistance, coordinate tutoring programs, and assist in monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, with an emphasis on men's and women's basketball.
Warren spent the last four years as an assistant coach at Pensacola State College, where he handled the Pirates' recruiting coordination in addition to his coaching and scouting duties. He also served in an administrative capacity at the college as a dorm supervisor.
A two-year starter for Detroit from 2002-2004, Warren led the team to back-to-back 18-win seasons as well two-straight trips to the Horizon League championship semi-finals. He was named to the HL All-Newcomer Team as a junior after averaging 11.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game and then received second team All-League honors as a senior after leading the Titans in scoring (11.6). After his time at Detroit, he went on to play professionally in Ireland and Germany before heading to the sidelines.
He started his collegiate career at Pensacola where he averaged 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game and was named Panhandle Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore. A native of Hamtramck, MI, Warren was a second team Class B All-State honoree by the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News as a senior after averaging 22 points and eight rebounds per game for Hamtramck HS.
Warren graduated from Detroit in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in History and will now pursue his Masters in Psychology.
He is currently married to his wife, Kristin, and has three daughters, Santiya (10), Reagan (4) and Ashlan (1).
