Day One Recap
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The 2012 Horizon League Track and Field Indoor Championships came to a close on Sunday at the new Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) facility in Youngstown, OH.
Taylor Hennrick and
Justin Peguese led the Titan men with a pair of fourth place finishes.

Hennrick moved up to third place in his pentathlon competition at one point on the strength of a 8.87 time in the 60m hurdles before ending up in fourth place after a 3.24m pole vault. He finished the 1000m, the final event, clocking in at 2:48.77 and captured fourth place with 4466 points.

In the high jump, Peguese also had a fourth place finish with a leap of 1.91m.

In the triple jump, Ja'Quan Patterson set a new season-best at 13.88m which placed him fifth overall in the event.
Jeffrey Senecal set a new PR with a 13.14m jump.

The 4x400m relay team finished with the fifth best time. The group of
Joe LaRocca (51.5),
Vince Lefler (49.7),
Anthony Donald (50.6) and
Joe Raffin (49.4) combined for a time of 3:20.98.Ā The top team from Loyola upped the former Horizon League record of 3:15.38 set a year ago by Raffin, Lefler,
Matt Mahler and
Lesley Hanna and finished at 3:14.40.

In the 60m dash,
Vushaun Landrum placed seventh with a time of 7.06. Landrum was also in the 200m and came in seventh once again at 22.45.

After setting a new UDM record in the weight throw in Saturday's opening day,
Eric Lewis took his turn with the shot put and finished seventh and just out of scoring range with a final of 13.81m.

In the mile run,
Bob Radlich set a new PR at 4:18.25 as Butler finished in the top four spots in that event. Radlich also set a PR in the 3000m race at 9:01.81.
Martin Nelkie also had a PR in the 3000m run as he finished with a time of 9:03.61.

Aviram Campbell came in 7th in the 60m hurdles at 8.42.

In the end, the Titans as a team finished in seventh place after 17 events accumulating 29 points. Milwaukee ran away with a sweep on both sides capturing 125 points on the men's side and 137 points on the women's side.
