Alyssa Riley scored two goals and senior
Abby McCollum had the game-winning goal in the eighth minute as the University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team won 4-0 over the Stetson Hatters Sunday afternoon at Titan Field.
"The girls struggled in the first half with Stetson playing them pretty good," said UDM women's soccer assistant coach
Mike Sheehy. "We made some adjustments at halftime and changed our formation and we played a better second half.
Alyssa Riley really turned it on the midfield and scored two goals in the second half."
McCollum started the UDM (4-4-1) scoring 7:11 into the game as junior defender
Alyssa Lotito played a great ball from the left side of the field to McCollum, who placed her head on the ball and netted her third goal of the season.
Riley then made it 2-0 with her first of the game taking a pass from
Sara Zawacki. Riley took the pass and sent a powerful shot that had eyes and made its way into the back of the net in the 56th minute.

Heather Brown scored her second career goal and first of the season at 73:07 as Zawacki set up another Titan tally. Zawacki played a ball to the foot of Brown who turned and took a shot to give Detroit a 3-0 advantage.
