DETROIT (9/11/2014) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's soccer team returns to the road for two more contests this Friday and Sunday. The Titans visit Ohio on Friday for a 4 p.m. match in Athens, Ohio, against the Bobcats. Detroit concludes its stretch away from Titan Field on Sunday with a 1 p.m. game at Bowling Green.

Shutout StreakThe Titans went nearly three games without allowing a goal. Detroit earned a 2-0 shutout victory at IPFW on Aug. 29 and two days later kept Central Michigan off the scoreboard for all of regulation and two overtimes in a 0-0 tie. On Sept. 5, Detroit and Denver played the first 89 minutes of the match scoreless before the Pioneers scored the game-winning goal with 54 seconds left for a 1-0 win. Overall, the shutout streak was 289 minutes long over three matches.
Scouting OhioThe matchup with Detroit will be the third straight at home for the Bobcats (2-4 overall). Ohio is 1-1 in games played on its home turf, Chessa Field. Last weekend, the Bobcats fell in double overtime, 3-2, on Friday at home against Xavier, before earning a 2-0 victory Sunday against Eastern Kentucky. Ohio's other victory this season came in a 1-0 tally at Wright State.
Sophomore midfielder Carly Manso and sophomore forward Alexis Milesky pace the Bobcats offense with five points each. Each have scored two goals for Ohio. Senior goalkeeper Nicole Amari has started all six games for the Bobcats in net and has a 1.73 goals against average with a 79.6 save percentage.
Bobcat head coach Aaron Rodgers is at the helm in his second season at Ohio. He helped the Bobcats to a 7-7-5 record in his first season in Athens.
Scouting Bowling GreenThe Falcons are entering Sunday's game against Detroit with a 1-4 record.
Bowling Green is coming off its first victory in more than two years. The Falcons scored eight goals en route to an 8-0 victory over Chicago State on Sept. 7, earning their first triumph since the 2012 season. Seven different Falcons scored goals in the win, led by Sidney Huth who had two goals and two assists in the match.Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Cadel has made the start in all five matches for Bowling Green, sporting a 1.68 GAA and 79.5 save percentage. Freshmen Skylar Fleak and Madison Schupbach each have 14 shots to pace the Falcons.
BGSU head coach Lindsay Basalyga enters the 2014 season in her second season as head coach of the Falcons.
All-Time SeriesDetroit and Ohio are matching up for the first time in the two programs' history.
The Titans defeated Bowling Green last season, earning a 3-0 win on Sept. 17, 2013 at Titan Field.

Alyssa Lotito added an assist for Detroit, which didn't allow a shot on goal during the match.
Strong DebutsThe Titans have received several strong contributions from freshmen during the 2014 season. Goalkeeper
Marina Manzo has started four of the five games in goal and recorded shutouts in her first two collegiate starts. Manzo made a season-high nine saves at Colorado in her most recent contest, facing 19 shots overall during the match. Manzo holds a 1.08 GAA and 80.0 save percentage, while making 20 saves in the 2014 season.

Suzie Redick scored a goal in her first collegiate contest, coming off the bench to score in the season-opener at Toledo.
Senior ClassDetroit has five seniors entering the 2014 season.

Alyssa Riley,
Victoria Sollestre and
Abbey Troy are all entering their senior seasons for the Titans.
Riley has started all 61 games she has played in during her Titan career, scoring 12 goals and adding 11 assists for 37 points. She entered the 2014 season on the verge of entering the top 10 in program history in goals, assists and points.
Burtraw has six goals and two assists in 41 starts across three seasons for Detroit. Lotito led the team and conference in assists last seaosn with 11 on her way to earning Second Team All-Horizon League honors. Sollestre has been a staple on the back line for Detroit, making 47 starts throughout her career. Troy has played in 33 games during her career and made 10 starts for the Titans during the 2013 season.
Upcoming ScheduleThe Titans have a nine-day break between games following Sunday's match at BGSU. Detroit hosts Cleveland State on Wednesday, Sept. 24 for its conference opener. UDM will follow its Horizon League opener with a trip to Wright State on Saturday, Sept. 27 and return to the road once again the next weekend for an Oct. 4 match at UIC.
Coaching MilestoneDetroit head coach
Mike Lupenec - the only coach in the history of the Titans' program - is four wins away from 200 victories for his career. Lupenec has led the Titans to 196 wins in his 22-year career in the Motor City.
Detroit Selected to Finish Fourth in ConferenceThe Titans were selected to finish in fourth place in the Horizon League preseason coaches' poll, which is voted on by the league's head coaches. Coaches could not vote of their own team in the poll.
Milwaukee was picked to win the conference, earning six first-place votes, while Oakland and Wright State each received one first-place vote and were tabbed to place second and third in the conference, respectively. Detroit received 46 votes overall.
