ANN ARBOR, Mich. (1/14/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team kicked off the 2017 indoor season on Saturday from the Simmons-Harvey Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan.
 
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MEET
The Titans placed four in the top-five during the 2017 opener from U-M. Newcomer 
Lynda Brundige made the biggest splash with a third place finish in the triple jump, clearing 37'8" for the fourth-best all-time at Detroit Mercy. 
Samantha Zakalowski and 
Elizabeth Mullen finished second and fourth, respectively, in the 600m and the 4x400m relay squad of Dent, Vizard, Mullen and Dozier took fourth.
 
COACH MURRAY SAYS
"The first meet back is always a bit of a rust buster to test where we are at and to help chart the plan. We had some good results, but we all have some work to do."
