Hill Leaps For Gold At #HLTF Championships

Freshman Nadia Hill earned gold in the high jump.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (5/10/2026) -- Freshman Nadia Hill upgraded her medal for the indoor campaign and five other Titans earned points as the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team finished up the Horizon League Outdoor Championships on Sunday.

UDM totaled 41 points for seventh place, the most points since it tallied 48 in 2019.

Hill scored the most points by winning the high jump with a mark of 1.72 meters, her sixth win on the year. She was silver in the event during the indoor meet at 1.70m.

Graduate senior Abby Winkle finished sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 56.70, fifth in the school record book.

Junior Gabriela Gashaj took seventh in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:04.09. Freshman Imani Sharp placed seventh in the 100m with a time of 11.99, which is the third fastest Titan ever in the event, while graduate senior Nina Pizzo registered 4:26.99, good for seventh overall as well as the seventh best time in school history.

In the jumps, freshman Abigail Mullings reached 11.34m in the triple jump for seventh.

Closing out the day was the fourth-place 4x400 as Winkle, junior Kayla Wize, sophomore Audrey Williams and freshman Mia Seaton posted a time of 3:49.93 for fourth place and the second best time in school history.

In the first couple of days, sophomore Lyla Mullins claimed gold in the shot put, extending her school record to 15.42m.
