ALLENDALE, Mich. (1/28/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team wrapped up at the Mike Lints Alumni Open from the campus of Grand Valley on Saturday, with several notable performances among the crowded field.
HIGHLIGHT OF THE MEET
- Junior Ben Kendell took silver in the mile run with a PR of 4:13.31. The mark is the fifth fastest in the Detroit Mercy history books.
- Sophomore Carlton Sims finished sixth in the 400m with a time of 49.64.
- Nick Scalzi added a third top-10 finish with a tenth-place showing in the shot put after a toss of 14.62m (47'11.75").
- Freshman Dayton Munce cleared 3.81m (12'6") in the pole vault, the third-best mark in Titan history.
