ALLENDALE, Mich. (2/17/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team wrapped up competition from Grand Valley State's Tune-Up on Friday at the Kelly Family Sports Center.
The one-day meet was the Titans' last opportunity to get competition in prior to the Horizon League Indoor Championships next weekend (Feb. 25-26) at Youngstown State.
COACH MURRAY SAYS
"It was a good week of our last preparations for the Horizon League Indoor Championships and our final tests to set the plan for next week."
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MEET
- Sophomore Anton Webster set an 800m PR of 1:54.36 in his fourth-place finish. The mark is the eighth fastest all-time in the Titan record books.
- Freshmen Adam Fraeyman and Brendan McClanahan each set PRs in the mile.
- Sophomore Eric Leduc hit a PR in the shot put with a toss of 12.63m (41'5.25").
- The Titan 4x400m team of Webster, McClanahan, Nelson and Heitzhaus snagged silver.
