ALLENDALE, Mich. (2/17/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team concluded action from Grand Valley State's Tune-Up on Friday at the Kelly Family Sports Center.
 
The one-day meet was the Titans' last opportunity to get competition in prior to the Horizon League Indoor Championships next weekend (Feb. 25-26) at Youngstown State.
 
COACH MURRAY SAYS
"It was a good week of our last preparations for the Horizon League Indoor Championships and our final tests to set the plan for next week."
 
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MEET

• Six PRs were set on Friday, led by freshman Brynne Gustafson who hit her best marks in the shot put (11.69m, 38'4.25") and weight throw (14.41m, 47'3.5").
• Senior Ashley Bayles finished second in the shot put with a season best toss of 14.79m (48'6.25").
• Junior Jenny Ponkowski finished sixth in the 3000m with a time of 11:06.51.
