TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (4/22/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team wrapped up from the Pacesetter Invitational from Indiana State University on a cool and windy Saturday afternoon.
 
The Titans finished fourth with 88 points across the two-day event that began on Friday afternoon.
 
COACH MURRAY SAYS
"We got some good work competing and dealing with some Midwest outdoor conditions in one of our final ones prior to the Horizon League Championships. We got several strong last attempt efforts in the throws and overall we got some good work in for our championship meet, which could always have potential for similar weather conditions."
 
HIGHLIGHTS
	- The Titans placed in 16 individual events and twice in relays.
 
	- Detroit Mercy recorded 12 top-five finishes, with senior Ashley Bayles recording a pair of runner-up efforts in the shot put and the discus, and a third-place showing in the hammer.
 
	- The 4x100m relay team of Carnathan, Jackson, Holmes and Hamilton finished second with the 8th-fastest time in program history.
 
	- The Titans had five bronze medal performances: Carnathan (100m), Dent (400m), Zakalowski (400H), Brundige (TJ) and Bayles (hammer).
