ROCHESTER, Mich. (4/8/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team wrapped up competition in the 12th Annual Dual vs. Oakland on Saturday night from the campus of the Golden Grizzlies.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Senior Ashley Bayles picked up three wins on the day with a PR in the hammer throw and a pair of victories in the shot put and discus.
• Senior Jayona Dent won the 400m with a time of 59.06.
• The Titans added a pair of relay wins with Carnathan, Jackson, Holmes and Hamilton taking the 4x100, and Dent, Zakalowski, Mullen and Vizard taking the 4x400.
• Freshman Lynda Brundige picked up wins in the long jump and triple jump.

The Golden Grizzlies picked up the win, 85-81, despite the Titans winning field events by a 42-23 score. The setback lowers Detroit Mercy's all-time record in the meet to 7-4.
