YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (5/7/17) – The University of Detroit Mercy men's track and field team placed in six events on the third and final day of the Horizon League Outdoor Championships from Farmers National Bank Field at Youngstown State University.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Eric Leduc hit a PR in the hammer with a toss of 48.51m (159'2") to place seventh. The mark is the ninth-best mark in the Titans record book.
• The Titans placed two in the 400m as Carlton Sims took sixth and Zach Arnold took eighth.
• Brendan McClanahan placed sixth in the 800m.
• Detroit Mercy finished sixth in the 4x100m, with Ilia Panev, Michael Nelson, Joe Harmon and Zach Arnold clocking in at 44.23.
• The Titans added a fifth-place showing in the 4x400 as Michael Nelson, Brendan McClanahan, Andrew Heitzhaus and Carlton Sims crossed the line in 3:27.41.
• Detroit Mercy finished seventh in the standings with 23 points at the meet.
