DETROIT (11/16/2018) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's lacrosse program and first-year head coach
Megan Callahan '13 just recently concluded their fall ball season as they prepare for the 11th season of women's lacrosse at the University.
"We just finished our fall season at home. We saw some great things from our freshmen and even better things from our returners," Callahan said recently in a video interview. "We changed our style of play to be fast and creative and everyone's picking up on it pretty quickly, so we like what we see."

Kaitlyn Wandelt filling the leadership roles for the red, white and blue. Detroit Mercy once again has a strong class of six, impactful seniors and welcomes a group of seven freshmen to campus.
"Our senior class is probably the most talented class that this program has seen so it's good to have them back on the field," Callahan said. "They are stepping into that bigger leadership role and they are becoming accustomed to showing what our sophomores, our freshmen and juniors need to do to be continually successful."

Meredith Moore. The Titans swept all of the awards in the SoCon with Laurie Merian earning 2018 SoCon Coach of the Year honors.
The Titans enter 2019 high up in several statistical categories with senior
Allison McDonough third among active Division I goalkeepers with 483 total saves. She ranks first all-time in school history in goals against average (12.14) and wins (28) and ranks second in saves in school history.

Lexie Kinmond is sixth among active players in career points (203), which also ranks third in Titan career history. Redshirt junior
Kaitlyn Wandelt was 12th among active players at the end of the 2018 season in goals per game (3.14). The trio of Girardi, Kinmond and Wandelt all have 100 or more goals in their Titan careers -- combining for 370 entering the 2019 campaign.
Detroit Mercy earned a share of the 2018 SoCon regular-season crown and the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament in 2018. The Titans were 10-8 overall and 4-1 in league play in their 10th season as a program.
Stay tuned for the release of the 2019 game schedule ahead of the upcoming regular season. The 2019 season is the second for the Titans in the Southern Conference (SoCon). The SoCon Championship is slated for May 2-3 at Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
