DETROIT, MI. (4/22/18)-- The University of Detroit Mercy softball team will head down to Bowling Green, Ohio for a non-conference meeting with Bowling Green State University on Monday, April 23.

FROM THE PLATE
In Horizon League paly, the Titans are led at the plate by junior
Courtney Gilbert who boasts a sparkling .395 batting average. She has collected a team-high 17 hits, five doubles, two triples, has scored ten runs and has a .674 slugging percentage.
Close behind Gilbert is senior
Savvy Ferstle, who is batting a solid .351 in the Horizon League thus far. She has compiled 13 hits, including two doubles, and one home run. She has driven in seven runs and scored four herself.
Up next on the Titans impressive Horizon League depth chart is
Kori Keyes. Keyes is batting .325 in conference play with 13 hits, including five doubles and has four RBI to go along with one run scored.
IN THE CIRCLE
The Titans are led by
Ashley Mauser, who has a stellar 2.35 ERA across 59.2 innings pitched in the Horizon League. She has a record of 6-6 and has scattered 55 hits, 27 runs (20 earned), 25 walks and 75 strikeouts.
Mauser has set two school records on the season. She struck out 15 batters in one game against Youngstown State, breaking a 20 year old record. She also broke the record for most strikeouts in a season (104) against Cleveland State. She now has 114 strikeouts and counting on the season.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
The Falcons are 24-19 overall and boast a 7-9 record in MAC play so far this season.
Aspen Searle leads the Falcons with a .379 batting average and 20 RBI. Also hitting well for BGSU is Kali Holcomb, batting .311 with a whopping 41 RBI.
In the circle, Meredith Miller has been the Falcons go to. She has a 13-11 record, with a 2.93 ERA across 138.1 innings pitched.
