LOUISVILLE, KY. (9/29/18) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's cross country team had a career day down at the Louisville Classic, as all six participants set personal records while representing the red, white and blue on Saturday morning.
Senior harrier
Ben Kendell led the way for the Titans, finishing fifth with a new personal record of 23:54.6. Not only is that a new personal record, it is also a new school record in the 8k race, with the previous being held by Kendell at 24:15.
With that finish, Kendell has now placed in the top five in every race that he has run in this season.
Sophomore
Thomas Mueller and junior
Adam Fraeyman were the next Titans to cross the finish line, doing so a mere eight seconds apart, finishing in 26:11 and 26:19 respectively.
The next Titan duo to cross was
Scott Smith and
Ryan Schwab, who were separated by only three seconds. Smith narrowly edged out Schwab, finishing in 26:29, while Schwab completed the race in 26:32.
In his first 8k race representing the red, white and blue, freshman
Michael Greeley crossed the line in 27:59.
