LOUISVILLE, KY. (9/29/18) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's cross country team placed two runners in the top 50 and three in the top 100 for a strong performance at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore
Claire Kendell was the top finisher for the Titans, placing fourteenth with a time of 18:25, setting a new personal record along the way.
Also managing to crack the top 50 was senior
Veronica Towianski, who placed forty eighth, while setting a new personal record with a mark of 19:19, crushing her old personal record of 19:49.
Junior
Kayla Hughes was the next Titan harrier to cross the finish line, placing ninety fifth while setting a new personal record with her time of 19:45.
Sophomore
Rebecca Measel continues to improve in her first reason running cross country after making the transition from track and field. She set a personal record with her mark of 20:24.
Sarah DeDolph set a personal record for herself by crossing the finish line at the 21:13 mark.
Rounding out the Titans day was senior
Annmarie Taylor who finished in 22:32.
