88 Titans Earn Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll Status

INDIANAPOLIS (6/28/2019) -- The University of Detroit Mercy saw 88 student-athletes named to the Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll, which was released on Friday.

The Titans led the Horizon League in honorees in three sports, including having a league-high 17 of the 95 recipients in men's soccer. All eight Titan women's golfers made the spring honor roll to lead the Horizon League and the softball team topped the HL with 13 selections. Women's tennis earned the second most nobs in the sport with six student-athletes making the grade.

Across the Horizon League, 1,069 student-athletes achieved academic honor roll distinctions for the spring of 2019 semester with all 10 members and 19 Horizon League-sponsored sports represented. Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:

  • Completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
  • A cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
