Softball Heads To Arizona State For Weekend Tournament

DETROIT (2/13/2020) -- The University of Detroit Mercy softball team will once again get on a plane for some warmer weather as the Titans travel to the Grand Canyon State to play in Arizona State's Littlewood Classic on Feb. 15-16.

The weekend event will feature games against the host and 22nd-ranked Aztecs, #RV Boise State, #10 Kentucky and Illinois State at Farrington Stadium.

The Titans will open the weekend with Boise State on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. followed by ASU at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, the red, white and blue will battle ISU at 1:00 p.m. and the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m.

All four games will feature live stats and the contest against Arizona State will be on the Pac 12 Network.

Detroit Mercy (0-4) started the 2020 season in a tough field that had two ranked teams at the event as the Titans dropped two games to Florida State and North Carolina.

Sophomore McKenna Tanguay led the offense hitting .444 (4-for-9) with two doubles, while freshman Renee Trotman collected two hits and sophomore Taryn Peru knocked in a run.
