ANN ARBOR, Mich. (2/21/2020) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team continued their 2020 indoor campaign at the Silverston Invitational in Ann Arbor this Friday Feb. 21.
Senior
Kyri Jackson won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.92 seconds, shattering her past indoor track and field record set back on Feb. 1 – a tenth of a second shy of Shireese Statin's all-time record of 24.82. She would close out her day with top-five finishes in the 60m, as well as the long jump.
Freshman
Micah Carey placed second in the triple jump with a score of 10.98m.
The women's 4x400 relay team finished third with a time of 4:08.33.
The red, white and blue head to Youngstown, Ohio next for a date in the Horizon League Championship meet Feb. 29-1.
