Track and Field Sits in Fifth After Day One

DETROIT (2/29/2020) – After day one, the University of Detroit Mercy women's track and field team currently sits in fifth place with 19.5 points after six events scored of the 2020 Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet in Youngstown, Ohio.
 
Senior thrower Brynne Gustafson placed second in the weight throw with a score of 16.56 meters.
 
In the long jump, senior Kyri Jackson continues her breakout season placing third with a score of 5.72m.
 
The women's distance medley team placed fifth with a score of 12:29.54
 
Competition will resume tomorrow Mar. 1 from the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) with all events beginning at 9. a.m.
